How do I watch my live stream?

FAQ: The live stream button is not working?
Answer: If clicking or pressing the “Watch Live Stream” button does not work then you are possibly looking at an old version of the gallery page,
to fix this you need to refresh your internet browser.

You can do this by pressing the reload button or F5 button on your keyboard or closing your internet browser and re opening it.

We use YouTube to live stream your event

YouTube is available on most devices that have a web browser, like your phone, PC, IPAD, or TV.
You will have been provided a link to the gallery page by the funeral director / Family you can also use the search function in the main Memorial Gallery

Use the Watch Now button to launch the live stream, for services with a burial live stream there will be a second button labeled.
For these services there will be a brief gap whilst traveling to the location and the streaming being turned on again.

We recommend checking your internet speed at this website https://www.speedtest.net/ for optimal playback your download speed should be 5Mbps or above.

Quality settings for the live stream can be accessed using the cog icon as per the below image, the default is Auto.

If clicking the watch live stream button is not working it is most likely that your browser has not updated to the latest version of the gallery page, please close your internet browser and try again or hold down the shift key on your keyboard and press the refresh button or Shift and F5 keys will do the same.

Can I watch the live stream on my TV?

Yes, the simplest method for this is to connect a laptop to your TV’s HDMI port.
Most of todays smart tv’s support YouTube and have it built in however this may be difficult and clunky to navigate and launch the live stream.

We recommend using the casting feature on your mobile device YouTube APP. This lets you easily find and launch the live stream from your mobile and then click the cast icon to watch on your smart TV.

What if I don’t have a smart TV ?

Any TV with a HDMI port can be turned into a smart TV with the help of a device called a google chrome cast

How long is the live stream available for?

Live streams on YouTube are available for the life time of YouTube and QMS does not place any time limits on access.
