How to Watch a Funeral Livestream
If you have received a viewing link from the family or funeral director, open that link on your phone, tablet, computer or smart TV.
No account or special software is required. The livestream will normally begin approximately 10–15 minutes before the scheduled service time.
1. Open the Viewing Page
Select the link supplied by the family or funeral director.
2. Select “Watch Live Stream”
On the viewing page, select the Watch Live Stream button. This will open the video player for the service.
If the service has not started, you may see a waiting screen. Leave the page open or refresh it closer to the scheduled start time.
We recommend checking your internet speed use the app below to check it now.
For optimal streaming your download speed should be 5Mbps or above.
The Livestream Button Is Not Working
Your browser may be displaying an older saved version of the viewing page.
Try the following:
Refresh or reload the page
On a Windows computer, press Ctrl + F5
On a Mac, press Command + Shift + R
On a phone or tablet, close the browser and reopen the viewing link
Confirm that your device is connected to the internet
If the service still does not appear, check that you have the correct viewing link and service time.
Improving the Picture Quality
The video player will normally select the best picture quality for your internet connection automatically.
To change it manually:
Select the cog or settings icon in the video player.
Select Quality.
Choose Auto, 720p or 1080p.
For reliable playback, we recommend an internet download speed of at least 5 Mbps.
Watching on a Television
The simplest way to watch on a television is to connect a laptop to the television using an HDMI cable.
You may also be able to cast the livestream from a phone or tablet using your smart TV, Google TV, Chromecast, Apple TV or another compatible streaming device.
Open the livestream on your mobile device, select the cast icon in the video player and choose your television.
Burial or Second-Location Coverage
If the funeral continues at a cemetery, graveside, crematorium or another venue, the viewing page may display a second livestream button.
There will usually be a brief break while our equipment is transported and set up at the next location. Follow the instructions shown on the viewing page and select the second button when it becomes available.
Can I Watch the Service Later?
The recording normally remains available on the viewing page after the service has finished.
Quality Memorial Services does not impose a short viewing deadline, although availability may be changed if requested by the family.
