How Our Funeral Live Streaming Service Works
Arranging a funeral livestream should not add another burden at an already difficult time. We manage the planning, venue coordination, cameras, sound, internet connection, live production and recording, giving family and friends a clear and respectful way to take part from anywhere.
Our service is available throughout Brisbane, Moreton Bay and South East Queensland, with other locations available by arrangement.
1. Tell Us About the Service
Contact us with the date, time and location of the funeral or memorial service. You can speak with us directly, or your funeral director can coordinate the arrangements on your behalf.
We will confirm availability and discuss:
The chapel, church, funeral home or other venue
Whether a burial, graveside service or second location will also be covered
The expected service duration and run sheet
Any photo tribute, slideshow or video to be included
Whether the livestream should be public or password protected
Any TV, speaker or audiovisual equipment required at the venue
2. We Plan the Technical Details
Before the service, we coordinate with the funeral director and venue wherever possible. We assess the room layout, camera positions, sound system, power, mobile coverage and timing of each part of the service.
We also prepare supplied tribute videos or slideshows so they can be shown clearly within the livestream. These are fed directly into the broadcast rather than filmed from a projector screen, giving online viewers a much clearer result.
3. We Create a Private Viewing Page
Families receive a simple viewing link to share with relatives and friends. Viewers can watch on a phone, tablet, computer or compatible smart TV without creating an account or installing special software.
If requested, the viewing page can be password protected. It can also include the service details, a photograph and simple instructions for viewers who are less confident with technology.
4. We Arrive Early and Set Everything Up
On the day, we arrive with enough time to set up and test before guests arrive. Depending on the venue and service, we may use up to four cameras to capture the lectern, coffin, speakers, musicians and wider views of the room.
Our cameras operate on their own battery power helping us work safely and discreetly in venues where access to power is limited.
We connect to the venue sound system where suitable and carry professional microphones and audio equipment as backup. Audio, camera framing and the livestream connection are tested before the service begins.
5. We Bond Multiple Internet Connections
We do not depend on a venue’s Wi-Fi or a single mobile connection. Our premium internet-bonding system combines multiple Telstra and Optus mobile connections to create a more resilient upload for the livestream.
If one connection becomes weak or congested, the remaining connections help keep the broadcast running. This is especially valuable in chapels, churches, cemeteries and regional locations where coverage can vary.
6. We Produce the Livestream in Real Time
During the service, an experienced operator manages the cameras, sound, tributes and live switching. The aim is a calm, natural production that helps remote viewers feel present without distracting the people attending in person.
We work respectfully around the funeral director, clergy, celebrant and family. David’s previous experience as a funeral director also brings an understanding of funeral etiquette, timing and the importance of remaining unobtrusive.
Standard coverage includes services of up to two hours, with no rushed finish if the service runs slightly differently from the planned schedule.
7. We Can Continue at a Second Location
Where arrangements include a burial, graveside committal, crematorium or another venue, we can provide coverage across multiple locations.
The equipment is packed, transported and re-established at the next location as efficiently as possible. The live stream automatically resumes. When required, viewers receive a second livestream button or link for the next part of the service, with clear instructions on the viewing page.
8. Every Service Is Recorded and Backed Up
The livestream is not the only copy. Every service is also recorded independently and backed up, helping protect the family’s memories if a venue or network issue affects the live broadcast.
After the service, the recording is checked and made available for family and friends who could not watch live, or who would like to view it again. Quality Memorial Services does not impose a short viewing deadline on the family.
Additional Venue Support
We can also provide TV and speaker hire for chapels, churches, halls, outdoor services and overflow areas. This can be helpful when a venue does not have suitable equipment or when guests in another room need to see and hear the service.
Where appropriate, live aerial coverage may also be available. Drone operation is always subject to weather, venue approval and CASA safety restrictions.
What We Need From You
To begin, we usually only need:
The service date, time and location
A family or funeral-director contact
The order of service or run sheet when available
Any photographs, slideshow or tribute video files
Your preferred privacy setting
Details of any burial or second location
We take care of the technical planning from there.
